HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!
I am 18 years of age now.
I guess normally I should be at a bar right now, since it’s Friday night and I’m not “legal”. But nay~ I spent the whole day studying Physics because I have on more exam coming up on Monday. My friends did however treat me to lunch at La Porchetta and Denny’s. SO I didn’t celebrate a little bit.

What does this all mean?
I have officially reached the Age of the Majority
(The Age of majority is the threshold of adulthood as it is conceptualized in law. It is the chronological moment when children legally assume majority control over their persons and their actions and decisions, thereby terminating the legal control and legal responsibilities of their parents over and for them.
The time when the law allows persons to do acts which, for want of years, they were prohibited from doing before.)

The porn industry is now accessible.( Oh the possibilities! Er… Not much use to me)

No more free dental. (Big bummer, this one is.)

Purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. ( Alcohol makes me cranky)

May stand for election to public office at Federal, state or local government level. (I would never want to be working with a bunch of whinny, fickle simpletons…I mean, damn, have you seen the housing rates in New Zealand?!)

Able to vote. (Won’t make much difference anyway, since the poor and uneducated far outnumber the minority who knows what’s best for the country)

Able to marry without parental consent. ( Man…I don’t even know what a relationship is. I get the gist of things from books/comics etc.)

Buying/possessing firearms. (Now this one could be useful…e)

Entry into a casino and being able to gamble. (Also another useful one)

etc etc


...wow...so apparently it’s not going to make much difference (apart from the firearms thing, but those are hard to come by in little old “safe” New Zealand).
Wikipedia says that:

… So yeah, I’m going to try working on those. Also I have a few things on my To-Do list: learn how to cook, get a job, act more feminine and so forth.

For the sake of righteousness, save me! After spending about 4 weeks in University, I have come to realized that skipping a year was a very bad idea! The lecturers there spend around 50 minutes covering what high school teachers cover in 2 weeks!!

It’s stupidly overwhelming! And to top it off, I have a Physics test worth 7.5% this Wednesday, a Chemistry test worth 15% next Monday and then a Biology test worth, get this, 36% next Wednesday! Honestly, I don’t think I can pass! If I don’t pass that Bio test then it means that it’s bye-bye to my chances of getting an A average, farewell to getting into Neurobiology in the third year and sayonara to getting into the Honors Program.
My plans for next 3 years could all go down with this one test… I wish I could just curl up in my room and read fiction for the rest of my life, because currently, reality sucks.

Well the main point to this journal is, as you may have guessed already, I will be studying during every second of my waking hours and probably will not be on DA for at least 2 weeks. I’m be coming on to check deviations and messages and such in between doing my online tests so I won’t be completely gone. But I won’t be able to submit anything for a l-o-n-g time. I’ve got heaps of doodles but those aren’t very presentable…but what I mean is PSs things. Not that many of you will be missing much since I don’t produce much notable “art” (if you can call it that) anyway.

Well, just to let you guys know. Life is hell and it’ll only get worse.

Ok first of all, I thought I'd try this CSS thing. My friend kindly sent me a template, so all I had to do was fill everything in. I really hope this works...I don't understand how you make the bg fit exactly into the journal box... it showed up nicely in the previews but as you see it now, it's repeating a bit...

Today is the dreaded time of year again: Valentine's Day~...
School hasn't started for me so I'm just going to stay home and ponder about why I'm spending it alone...
Honestly, it's not like I'm in particular need to find that "certain special someone". Personally, I think it would just be too troublesome...but it would be nice to get some chocolates and flowers and perhaps a candle-light dinner for two?
Hey people, no matter how immature and "unfeminine" (you have to know me in real life to understand) I seem, reading sappy shoujo comics is bound to rub off a little on me...

Well, I guess I make things hard for myself by being attracted to the quiet/cold types who wouldn't be likely to ask a girl out...but I really can't help it! That's just me~
I guess I'll be content with just admiring from afar...

It's ok, as long as I have my comics, I don't need a boyfriend!
